I remember back in my early published days, the marketing avenue for writers were print and radio media. I recall a story about a writer whose claim to sucess was his ability to buy thousands of dollars worth of magazine, newspaper, and radio advertisements.
So, I’m wondering, whatever happened to those selfmade authors who flood-marketed their books? Was this technique successful and, if so, by HOW much? Where are they today and have they written anything else?
Basically, I really want to know was it worth spending that money in that manner? Did they make their money back, or earn a sweet profit!
